This past weekend the Lumberjacks hit the road again for the sixth time in their first nine games as they traveled to Pocatello, Idaho to take on the Bengals of Idaho State. The trip was dubbed “Operation Ocho” by the staff and players as the team sought their eighth win of the season, and eighth win in a row. The game got off to a similar start as the one the previous weekend against Northern Colorado as the Lumberjacks scored first on a safety as junior defensive tackle Tim Wilkinson registered a sack in the end zone, and a non offensive touchdown as senior end Jarret Bilbrey blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. After the early scoring by the defense and special teams, the offense got on track and amassed over 600 yards of total offense while scoring the final 31 consecutive points of the game. A complete recap of the game can be found here.
