The NAU Football Family lost a valuable member on Monday, October 31st, as former player Stevon Thomas passed away. Thomas was a 2010 NAU graduate who captained the 2009 squad and was a member of the 2008 team. In 2009 Thomas was an All-Big Sky Second Team selection, and in 2008 was an All-Big Sky Honorable Mention selection. Prior to NAU Thomas played at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, CA where he earned All-State Region 3 honors, and All-Foothill Conference honors. Thomas was also a 2006 graduate from Norco High School where he was a two year captain for the squad which earned a 37-5 record during that span. Thomas holds the single season record for tackles at Norco with 155.
