The Jacks picked up a solid win in Greeley this weekend. NAU jumped out to a quick lead and then held on to defeat the Bears 21-14. We took more than 80 pictures from the game, so check them out in the NAU-UNC photo gallery online.
The Lumberjacks have another big game this weekend against the Weber St. Wildcats in the Skydome at 3:05 pm Saturday.

Michael Herrick might be NAU’s best known player, but the senior quarterback from Valencia, Calif. is more than meets the eye. Herrick, who earned second team All-Big Sky honors and is a pre-season All-American by many publications, has a quirky, ironic sense of humor. (Evidence is this photo, a homage to Tom Cruise in Risky Business.) Off the field he likes to joke around and have fun. But at practice he is relatively quiet as he carves up secondaries with his pinpoint accuracy. No doubt Lumberjack fans will see some amazing offensive production this fall when he takes the field.
Favorite sport (outside of football): Ultimate Frisbee
Favorite movie: Forrest Gump
Greatest athletic accomplishment: Winning the Quarterback Olympics, despite overcoming 30-1 odds made by Coach St. Paul.
Living person you would most like to meet: Bret Favre
Most memorable NAU moment: Beating Montana State on the road last year.
