Coach Jimmy Beal is the running backs coach at Northern Arizona University. Coach Beal is starting his third season at NAU and came to NAU after having served as the running backs coach at Texas State, College of the Redlands, and Rocky Mountain College, where he also coached receivers. Coach Beal played collegiality at Montana State University and Rocky Mountain College for former Rocky Mountain Head Coach and current NAU Safeties/Special Teams Coach, David Reeves. Coach Beal is originally from Los Angeles, CA and recruits the Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and Northern Orange County High Schools for NAU. Coach Beal is the second youngest coach on the NAU coaching staff and can always be found around the field or offices with a smile on his face.
