On Wednesday Head Coach Jerome Souers announced that the NAU Football Annual Blue-White Spring Game on April 27th will be broadcast live both regionally on Fox Sports Arizona and nationally on Fox College Sports. This is a first for NAU Football and is a VERY rare occurrence for Football Championship Subdivision Schools.
Historically, Football Bowl Subdivision schools, and more specifically, schools belonging to the six major BCS conferences have been the only schools to have their spring games televised on a national level. NAU and NAU Athletics has been fortunate enough to have a great relationship with Fox Sports Arizona which will allow this production to take place. The “Voice of the Lumberjacks” Mitch Strohman will handle the play-by-play calling duties along with color commentator and NAU Football Alumni Keven Stephens and sideline reporter Reggie Eccleston. The broadcast will begin at 2:30 pm and will run until 4:00 pm leading into Fox Sports Arizona’s telecast of the Colorado Rockies vs Arizona Diamondbacks game that evening. Below are more details about the event. We hope to see everyone there!
