During NAU Football’s 12-10 win over Northern Colorado this past weekend, there were a few individual performances that stood out. The NAU Football coaches recognized the following players as players of the week:
Offensive Player of the Week – Drew Emanuel – Tight End, Junior, Mesa, AZ
Junior Tight End Drew Emanuel had only three catches for 33 yards against Northern Colorado but it was his clutch third down catch to extend a drive and his numerous critical blocks on run plays that earned him this weeks offensive player of the week award.
Blocking “Bone” of the Week – Jesse Brantley – Wide Receiver, Junior, Gilbert, AZ
The “bone” award is an award that goes to the offensive skill player who had the best game blocking. On Saturday against Northern Colorado, junior receiver Jesse Brantley provided several key blocks on running plays on the perimeter.
