Fall Camp Practice 10 Report

The Lumberjacks returned outdoors with their practice on Saturday morning and enjoyed sunny skies until the end of practice when it began to sprinkle. The Lumberjacks returned to the field on Saturday, following their scrimmage on Friday, and focused on continuing to install the playbook on both sides of the ball. Saturday’s practice focused on two-minute situations culminating in two team sessions and one 7-on-7 passing session. During the practice both sides of the ball had bright spots. For the offense, offensive linemen Shane Moniz and Kyle Walker and receiver Austin Shanks all had great practices. On defense, defensive end Steven Garcia and linebacker Jake Thomas both intercepted passes and defensive tackle Junior Vicente made a few impact plays.

The Jacks are back on the field for two practices Sunday with a morning walk through at 10:30 AM, to rest the players’ legs, and an evening practice from 5:00 – 7:00 PM inside the dome.
